Untangling cloud complexities

iomart are a leading provider of secure hybrid cloud managed services. They offer hybrid cloud, managed security, digital workplace, connectivity, data management, and consulting solutions to their customers.

A year after iomart’s rebrand, I was brought in to focus on the language on their website. We needed to build on the brand, position them as market-leading, and avoid the typically baffling jargon and incomprehensible tech speak the industry drowns in. The brand voice had fallen behind the refreshed visual identity. Iomart really wanted to showcase what they’re about and how they’d evolved. Appearing high-up Google’s search lists was as important as the revamped tone of voice.

We wanted to celebrate the company’s focus on making life straightforward and easier for their customers. The focus was on clear-cut and down to earth language, championing simplicity. While positioning the brand as more approachable and a collaborative alternative to its competitors. We tackled the seven core iomart pages before diving deeper into the secondary solutions pages.

The first slice of data from November gave us an early idea of results and progress. With the launch of the new site, traffic from search engines increased 13% month on month from non-brand related searches, and the number of ranking keywords increased by 200%. Total web enquires rose to a record high.
